Francisco Planter
Crafted by master artisan Francisco in his workshop in Santa Maria Atzompa, this unique planter is made with time-tested techniques that have been passed down through generations. The clay is fired in a wood oven using an ancient process called "reduction," which helps to create a beautiful, rich smoked color. You can also see the influence of whimsical face motifs throughout the design, which are typical of pottery from Oaxaca and have been traced back to the Monte Albán period.
Each piece is carefully made by hand. Subtle differences in glaze, finish and size may occur.
